SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) _ Potlatch Corp. (PCH) on Monday reported second-quarter profit of $2.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Spokane, Washington-based company said it had net income of 4 cents.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 1 cent per share.
The timberland owner and wood products company posted revenue of $181.6 million in the period.
Potlatch shares have climbed roughly 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $44.10, an increase of 16% in the last 12 months.
