The new website is divided into five different sections. It also contains a glossary and a FAQ section, providing information on selecting window glasses based on local climate.
The upgraded website features a comprehensive ‘Understanding Window Glass’ section that informs users about energy-efficient insulating glass units (IGUs), functioning of low-emissivity (low-e) glass and the benefits of energy-efficient windows.
The section focusing on low-e glass elaborates on 70XL, Solarban 67 and Solarban 60 solar control, low-e glasses and SUNGATE 600, Sungate 500 and Sungate 400 passive, low-e glasses. Buyers can download the performance data of each product and even locate local manufacturers.
Residential window makers can access technical Information through PPG Technical Library, Glass Design Guidelines, Thermal Stress Analysis, Material Safety Data Sheets and “Quality Now” Manual for the INTERCEPT spacer system.
Comparative data tools and a downloadable brochure, containing the details about the PPG Residential IG Service Center in Carlisle, Pa., complete the expanded product information for homeowners.
The new website has been developed after extensive research focused on customers and end-users to determine the content that was most important to them and how to access it more readily.
