President Donald Trump went on another Twitter spree early Tuesday when he mistakenly retweeted a post that called him a "fascist."

The tweet posted by a user named Mike Holden was in response to a Fox & Friends article with the headline "FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVE: President Trump 'seriously considering' a pardon for ex-Sheriff Joe Arpaio." The by Holden tweet read: "He's a fascist, so not unusual."

However, the president realized his mistake and deleted the tweet from his personal account a few moments after retweeting it. However, Twitter users were quick enough to take screenshots before it disappeared.

Holden himself tweeted a picture of the retweet and jokingly said he was announcing his retirement from the social networking site after his newfound fame.

In the tweet, it appears as if Holden is saying that ex-Sheriff Joe Arpaio was a fascist, and because Trump is one too, he is considering pardoning Arpaio. According to reports, Apario was recently convicted of criminal contempt after ignoring a judge’s order to stop detaining people as he suspected them of being undocumented immigrants.

Meanwhile, Twitterati who were amused at Trump's mistaken retweet made sure to voice their opinion on the social media platform.

One user replied to Holden saying: You're today's Twitter hero". Another said: He probably was half asleep and saw "that is fantastic".

In a reply to his own tweet, Holden wrote: "I'm going to put "Endorsed by the President of the United States" in my bio, as soon as tiny have a decent one!"

This is not the first time the president has endorsed tweets that were attacking him. Last week, Trump liked a tweet that accused the him of rape and conducting orgies using the models at his former agency, Trump Model Management. Although he unliked the tweet within a few seconds, he was not spared the humiliation as many had captured screenshots already.

The user, Alexander Hamilton, who posted the tweet wondered if perhaps Trump’s “thumb was trembling” and the favorite was an accident.

Trump has had a history of retweeting many disstrubing tweets. On Tuesday, he shared a tweet from an alt-right conspiracy theorist a few hours after condemning the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis and white supremacists over Saturday’s violence at a rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, after facing huge criticism for not doing so.

The same day he also revoked a retweet of a post about which depicted the "Trump train" running over a person with the word CNN written on their head which was in line with his tirade on "fake news media."

In 2016, he recirculated a tweet from a user with the handle "WhiteGenocideTM. He manually retweetd it by copy pasting the full tweet into his post rather than clicking on the retweet button.

The same year he also retweeted a post about his then-opponent Sen. Ted Cruz's book"A Time for Truth." The post had a photoshopped image of the book to show a balding and pudgy version of the Texas Republican in the image with the title "A Time to Lie."

The account of the user who posted original tweet containing the photoshopped image has since been suspended.
