WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) _ Primo Water Corp. (PRMW) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $11.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 39 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 5 cents per share.
The purified water provider posted revenue of $40.4 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $36.5 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $5.9 million, or 21 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $142.5 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Primo Water said it expects revenue in the range of $62 million to $65 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $280 million to $285 million.
Primo Water shares have increased 22 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $14.98, an increase of 62 percent in the last 12 months.
