During his first public appearance since the birth of the third royal baby, Prince William has let slip a few things about what we should expect from his baby boy's name and gave us a clue into how the newborn is behaving at home with the family.

Attending an Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey at midday, William told reports his son was ‘very well, thanks’ and that everyone is ‘in good form, luckily’.

The new dad added: ‘Sleeping's going reasonably well so far, so he's behaving himself, which is good.’

William also joked with a member of the public that his newborn has a ‘strong name’, amid rumours he and Kate Middleton will announce what the new royal will be called at some point today.

The trio attended a service of thanksgiving and commemoration, with William and Meghan greeting each other with a tender kiss on the cheek outside the Abbey.

While William is technically on paternity leave, it was a welcomed surprise to see him make a last-minute appearance at the service.

William and Kate welcomed their third child at the Lindo Wing in London on Monday 23 April. Their baby boy weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds and 7 ounces.

Congratulations to the new mum and dad!
