FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Nov 8, 2012) - Procera Networks, Inc. (
"We are honored to accept this award that recognizes the cutting-edge nature of Procera's IPE solutions, and our ability to enable service providers to launch profitable, innovative new services," said Paul Gracie, vice president of sales EMEA at Procera. "Yoigo's use case is just one example of how Procera's solutions can help our customers provide new demand-driven services for their broadband subscribers, and is testament to our company, and our employees' commitment to innovation and staying ten steps ahead of the competition."
This award tops what has been a banner year for Procera so far, as the company unveiled carrier-grade NAT and Advanced Traffic Steering products, as well as the 320 Gbps-capable PL20000 platform, the 50 Gbps-capable PL8920, and the 5 Gbps-capable PL7810; with all of these products capable of running the company's new Report Studio featuring real-time customizable network analytics reports. Procera's industry leading signature recognition capability and 3GPP policy and charging control architecture enables service providers to rapidly rollout consumer customized, profitable, new, differentiated services.
Yoigo deployed Procera's solutions to enable VoIP BONO service, offering mobile VoIP calls for an average cost of 1 cent per minute, and the Top Up portal for subscribers who have reached the limit on their data plan, allowing them to recharge their mobile broadband data accounts in real time. Since Procera's solutions were deployed on Yoigo's network, the company has experienced a 72 percent acceptance rate of its mobile data up-sell option, there has been a 50% year-on-year increase in subscriber base, and the cost of implementing this project with Procera's solutions was paid back within just a few weeks.
The Broadband Traffic Management Awards were established in 2009 to celebrate and give recognition to some of the achievements made by those in the traffic management industry. These prestigious awards give winners and shortlisted companies a mark of quality, innovation and leadership. Winners were chosen by a panel of senior industry analysts from Heavy Reading, Yankee Group, Ovum, Wireless Explorers, and Informa Telecoms & Media.
