SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 19, 2012) - Proofpoint, Inc. (
Proofpoint outscored competitors in other categories including product quality, customer support, professional services, quality of sales process, ease of doing business, education and training, value received relative to price paid and total performance.
"We've been very happy with Proofpoint overall and with the technical support we've received. We also had a dedicated technical manager from Proofpoint, and she helped us through the complete migration. It was very, very helpful to have her work with us and the engineers. That was a major benefit for us during the migration to Proofpoint Enterprise Protection™," said Joseph Karam, senior manager collaboration services, Office of Information Technology, Princeton University.
The independent survey was conducted in late May and early June of 2012, garnering responses from 534 Proofpoint customers and resellers globally. Roughly 80 percent of the respondents were either information security specialists or managers -- individuals with a close working knowledge of Proofpoint's products as well as sales, service and support performance.
The results mirror the results of Proofpoint's internal quality measurement efforts. Since April 2008, the company has surveyed approximately 8,000 customers and achieved an overall satisfaction rating of over 95 percent.
"These results are extremely gratifying," said Mark Fishwick, vice president of client services at Proofpoint. "They reflect the hard work and daily commitment of our entire organization to provide customers with products and services that exceed their expectations and meet their evolving needs. From protecting data wherever it may reside within an enterprise, to effectively meeting complex and evolving regulatory and data governance mandates, Proofpoint continually prioritizes its customers and undertakes the necessary steps to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction."
