ProSight Specialty Underwriters Ltd. Appoints Mark Hewett as Chairman
LONDON--(Marketwire - Jan 21, 2013) - ProSight Specialty Underwriters Ltd. ('ProSight') is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Hewett as Chairman. He takes up his post with immediate effect.
Mark has over three decades experience in the insurance industry. After leaving Oxford University he joined broker CT Bowring. After the acquisition of CT Bowring by Marsh & McLennan, Mark became Managing Director of Guy Carpenter (UK) Ltd, Marsh & McLennan's specialist reinsurance broking business, where he was instrumental in the growth of the company, developing and running business units across multiple regions and classes of business. He became Chairman of Guy Carpenter (UK) Ltd in 2007 and served on the boards of Marsh Ltd., Guy Carpenter (UK) Ltd, MMC Securities (Europe Ltd) and Guy Carpenter & Co. (Ireland).
After leaving Guy Carpenter in 2010, Mark joined investment bank Canaccord Genuity Hawkpoint as a senior advisor. He remains in this role with responsibility for providing strategic direction and insight into the Lloyd's market and other insurance related entities.
