NEW YORK (AP) _ Prospect Capital Corp. (PSEC) on Wednesday reported fiscal first-quarter profit of $18.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of 5 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, came to 19 cents per share.
The business development company posted revenue of $161.9 million in the period.
Prospect Capital shares have climbed 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $6.45, a decline of slightly more than 5% in the last 12 months.
