STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ The Providence Service Corp. (PRSC) on Wednesday reported a loss of $1.7 million in its second quarter.
The Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had a loss of 22 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 7 cents per share.
The provider of government-sponsored social services posted revenue of $363.9 million in the period.
Providence Service shares have declined roughly 9% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $54.68, a decrease of 25% in the last 12 months.
