On a per-share basis, the Riverside, California-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents.
The holding company for Provident Savings Bank posted revenue of $14.2 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $12.7 million.
Provident Financial shares have increased 22% since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased roughly 4% in the last 12 months.
