Prudential Financial Earnings miss, Revenue beats In Q3

Investing.com - Prudential Financial (NYSE:PRU) reported third quarter earnings that missed analyst's expectations on Wednesday and revenue that topped forecasts.

The firm reported earnings per share of $3.15 on revenue of $13.6B. Analysts polled by Investing.com forecast EPS of $3.16 on revenue of $13.58B. That compared to EPS of $3.01 on revenue of $16.34B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $3.01 on revenue of $13.04B in the previous quarter.

For the year, Prudential (LON:PRU) Financial shares are down 12.43%, under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 4.85% year to date.
