PSG, Atletico and Juventus lead transfer chase for Mauro Icardi as Wanda Nara hints striker could be swapped for Paulo Dybala

Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Juventus are the three clubs leading the chase for Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi.

The Argentine forward has had an enormous bust-up with Inter that will end his career with the club, the product of toxic contract negotiations and a growing unease with the influence of Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara over his affairs.

PSG and Atletico are the leading overseas clubs in the chase for the 26-year-old striker but Juve are seen as the most likely destination for the two-time Capocannoniere.

La Vecchia Signora have seen first hand the damage that Icardi can do, and after Nara went on Italian television to give a teary account of their side of the story, she appeared to confirm that Mauro would be staying in Italy and refused to rule out a mooted swap deal with Juve's Paulo Dybala.

Nara, who was visibly upset, said: "He's still scoring goals. He keeps moving forward because he is the strongest one in his family. He's calmer now. He hugs all his teammates because he has always had a great relationship with everyone.

"We will for sure stay in Italy next year."

Icardi's dispute with Inter Milan's management, including boss Luciano Spalletti, saw him left out in the cold without even a place on the bench for a month from early February until 4th March.

Icardi has scored 16 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions for Inter the season.
