Quibi's 'Barkitecture' Show Features Celebrity Dog Houses Nicer Than Our Entire Neighborhood·Country Living

From Country Living

  • A new show called Barkitecture gives us a glimpse into the lifestyles of the rich and the famous (dogs, that is).

  • The series premiered on Quibi on May 11 with hosts Tyler Cameron and Delia Kenza at the helm.

They say every dog has its day, and for some lucky celebrity canines, that day has finally arrived!

A new show called Barkitecture takes dog and design lovers behind the scenes with Bachelorette alum and general contractor Tyler Cameron and Brooklyn designer Delia Kenza as they create dazzling dog houses for celebrity clients like Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Wilmer Valderrama, Teyana Taylor, Rumer Willis, Joel McHale, Lilly Singh, and Norbert the dog.

Tyler and Delia told House Beautiful all about the building process, which begins with meeting the owners and their furry friends.

"When we would meet with the owner, we would get a vibe from them and what they were looking for," Tyler says. "We would try and pair it with the house so it looks like it fit where it belonged."

"Meeting the dogs is the best part and an essential part of the process," adds Delia. "Each dog has its own personality, and we get to experience that."

"We designed spaces that reflected the dog’s story," Delia explains. "For example, if they were adopted from another country we put in pieces that reminded them of home. If the dogs have other doggie siblings, we built a place for all to enjoy. The majority of the furniture pieces used were based on the size of the dog. Many items were custom designed for the house and made by local artisans. Other items were purchased and retrofitted to work, like a cutting board became a coffee table — for the little dogs, we had to get very creative!"

Check out some of the amazing celebrity dog houses Tyler and Delia have created!

Kyle Richards

Nothing is too good for this Real Housewifeor her five dogs. Khloe (a Yorkipoo), Bambi (a Golden Retriever), River (a German Shepherd), Romeo (a Pomeranian), and Storm (a mix of a Leonberger, a St. Bernard, and a Newfoundland) make the cutest roomies ever in this replica of Kyle's own stunning white Colonial estate in Encino, California. This glamorous doggie dwelling even features black shutters and Juliet balconies.

"This dog house is probably as big as my first New York City apartment," Tyler jokes. Same, Tyler. Same.

Wilmer Valderrama

Wilmer may be known for starring in That '70s Show but there's nothing retro about the futuristic dog house Tyler and Delia created for the actor's dog, Marrok. The best part about this house is that Wilmer is welcome too—Marrok's giant, spaceship-esque pad has a human-sized door and enough room for several people.

Rumer Willis

Tyler and Delia went with a rustic chic vibe for Rumer Willis’s dog, Dolores, and we couldn't wait to see this camper-shaped house come to life. Is it weird that we're a little jealous of Dolores? A dog's life has never looked so laid-back and fun!
