·1 min read

MONTREAL, July 15, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - As the federal government considers putting in place a regularization of immigration status program for some migrants, migrants, immigrants and allies of the cause are gathering this Sunday and marching together to demand status for all.

What: rally and march

When: Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 2 p.m.

Where: Place Émilie-Gamelin (beside the Berry-UQAM metro station)

On this date, actions for status for all will be organized across Canada. The Montreal event is organized by several advocacy groups, including the Immigrant Workers Centre (IWC), and will begin with speeches, highlighting the following demands:

  • Regularize all persons without permanent status who are already on the Canadian territory;

  • Do not exclude Quebec from these regularization programs.
