Rams Fisher sees “flashes” in Todd Gurley
Los Angeles Rams
Rams fans may, or may not disagree. But head coach Jeff Fisher intimated that he sees some of the brilliance that the rookie showed in 2015.
“You could see the flashes,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said, via Alden Gonzalez of ESPN. “I felt like we did pretty good overall as an offense,” said Gurley, who also took a couple of snaps from the Wildcat formation. “We’ve just got to not turn the ball over.”
Turnovers, drive killing penalties, pick your poison. Rams fans have seen a bit of all of it this season.
Arizona Cardinals
Cardinals player David Johnson was named NFC Offenscive PLayer of the Week for his 157-yard, two-touchdown performance in last week’s win over the 49ers. Johnson is emerging as one of the best running backs in the NFL, and he’s being recognized for his latest performance.

San Francisco 49ers
After 344 days, Colin Kaepernick will return to the starting job of quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. “It’s been about a year since live game action, so I’m itching to get out there,” said Kaepernick, who last started in a Nov. 1 loss at St. Louis and subsequently lost his job to Blaine Gabbert- courtesy of Cam Inman of the Mercury News.

Kaepernick is replacing the ineffective Blaine Gabbert who struggled this season through 4 games, especially against the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday night.
Seattle Seahawks
Jets guard Brian Winters has been fined $24,309 for a personal foul in last week’s loss to the Seahawks. Winters headbutted Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett on a second quarter running play. As karma would have it, Winters suffered a concussion on the play.
