EDINBURGH, Britain (AP) _ Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC (RBS) on Friday reported net income of $1.82 billion in its fourth quarter.
The bank, based in Edinburgh, Britain, said it had earnings of 30 cents per share.
The bank posted revenue of $6.57 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $5.45 billion, surpassing Street forecasts.
For the year, the company reported profit of $4 billion, or 66 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $18.2 billion.
RBS shares have declined roughly 8% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly more than 5% in the last 12 months.
