SEATTLE (AP) _ RealNetworks Inc. (RNWK) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $6.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Seattle-based company said it had a loss of 18 cents per share.
The software and service provider for digital entertainment companies posted revenue of $16.6 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $25 million, or 66 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $69.5 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, RealNetworks said it expects revenue in the range of $40 million to $43 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $2.81. A year ago, they were trading at $2.94.
