Top User-Generated Comics Website Adds Red Giant's Advertising Platform
ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - Mar 4, 2013) - Red Giant Entertainment Inc. (OTCQB: REDG) announced today its acquisition of all outstanding shares of ComicGenesis, LLC, a Nevada company, through a share exchange agreement with owner Chris Crosby. Crosby, who recently joined as a member of the Board of Directors of Red Giant Entertainment, will continue running ComicGenesis. Crosby also co-founded and serves as CEO of Keenspot, which has been a strategic partner of Red Giant since 2010 and distributes Red Giant's comic book properties digitally.
Launched in 2000, ComicGenesis.com is a top user-generated comics website described by some as "YouTube for comics." The site allows users to upload and display their own comics online, with display customization abilities that are unavailable through virtually all competitors. In 2012, the site generated nearly 75 million ad views and boasts over 13,500 unique comic series in its collective.
