Georgia linebacker Natrez Patrick was reportedly arrested in the hours after the SEC title game.

UGASports.com reported Sunday morning that Patrick, a junior linebacker, is facing a misdemeanor charge after his arrest late Saturday night. According to 11Live News, Patrick is facing marijuana possession charges. He paid a “small fine” and was released from custody, the station reported.

Patrick had three tackles in the Bulldogs’ big win over Auburn earlier Saturday.

It’s the third arrest for Patrick, the team’s starting middle linebacker, in his Georgia career. All have been for marijuana.

From UGASports.com:

The junior was arrested in Barrow County late Saturday night on an unspecified misdemeanor charge, according to the Barrow County online jail report. Bond was set at $1,030.

The arrest took place at 11:50 p.m. but no other details were available and Georgia officials have yet to comment. A spokesman for the Barrow County Detention Center declined comment and said to call back during business hours on Monday for more information.

Patrick was previously arrested for possession of marijuana in October and once in 2015. He was also investigated for alleged marijuana use in his dorm room last October and subsequently cleared.

The October arrest led to a four-game suspension as specified in Georgia’s student athlete handbook.

In nine games (seven starts) this season, Patrick has 35 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. Patrick played in a combined 21 games in 2015 and 2016, including 11 starts, and totaled 81 tackles.
