Republic First posts 4Q profit

PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Republic First Bancorp Inc. (FRBK) on Monday reported fourth-quarter profit of $2.7 million.

The Philadelphia-based bank said it had earnings of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were less than 1 cent on a per-share basis.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $24.4 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $21.9 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $8.9 million, or 15 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $82.2 million.

Republic First shares have climbed 6.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $9, an increase of 16 percent in the last 12 months.
