Research in Motion loses patent suit to Nokia, Reuters reports

Research In Motion (RIM) lost a contract dispute over the use of Nokia (NOK) patents in a case which could stop the sales of its BlackBerry phones if it doesn't reach a deal to pay royalties to Nokia, reports Reuters. A Swedish arbitrator ruled that "RIM was in breach of contract and is not entitled to manufacture or sell WLAN products without first agreeing royalties with Nokia," according to Nokia.
