Resolute Forest Products: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

MONTREAL (AP) _ Resolute Forest Products Inc. (RFP) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $117 million.

On a per-share basis, the Montreal-based company said it had profit of $1.25. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.03 per share.

The maker of paper and wood products posted revenue of $974 million in the period.

Resolute Forest Products shares have increased slightly more than 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 88 percent in the last 12 months.
