Rich Fleck has been working in online analytics and strategy for the past 15 years. Prior to joining Responsys, Fleck was Vice President of Digital Strategy at Merkle, Vice President of Strategic Services at Epsilon Interactive, and a leader in the strategic services group at DoubleClick. Earlier in his career, Fleck co-founded a boutique analytics consulting firm, served as a consultant for Accenture, and managed the online analytics functions for two internet start-ups.

Previously, he oversaw email marketing at Expedia and Hotwire and was General Manager for the European operations of Epsilon Interactive. In 2004, Wham was awarded a "Database Marketing Excellence" award by the National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM) and in the same year, Jupiter Research (now part of Forrester Research) described his email marketing efforts for Hotwire as, "Not only ahead of the competition, but among the best practices across all online marketing."
