Retail Properties of America (RPAI) Beats Q2 FFO and Revenue Estimates

Retail Properties of America (RPAI) came out with quarterly funds from operations (FFO) of $0.27 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.21 per share. This compares to FFO of $0.17 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an FFO surprise of 28.57%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this real estate investment trust would post FFO of $0.20 per share when it actually produced FFO of $0.24, delivering a surprise of 20%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus FFO estimates three times.

Retail Properties of America, which belongs to the Zacks REIT and Equity Trust - Retail industry, posted revenues of $121.24 million for the quarter ended June 2021, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 10.80%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $96.8 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates four times over the last four quarters.
