STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) _ Revolution Lighting Technologies Inc. (RVLT) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $45.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company said it had a loss of $2.17.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $3.36 per share.
The LED maker posted revenue of $35.2 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $35.1 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $53.9 million, or $2.59 per share. Revenue was reported as $152.3 million.
For the current quarter ending in April, Revolution Lighting said it expects revenue in the range of $33 million to $35 million.
The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $165 million to $175 million.
The company's shares closed at $3.83. A year ago, they were trading at $5.66.
