In one of the wildest altercations in recent NBA memory, both Trevor Ariza and Gerald Green have been suspended two games while Chris Paul and James Harden face no punishment for their roles storming into the Clippers’ locker room Monday night, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

Following the Rockets’ heated 102-113 loss to the Clippers at the Staples Center, Ariza, Green, Paul and Harden stormed the Los Angeles locker room, incensed with Austin Rivers (who did not play due to an ankle injury) and Blake Griffin. Both Ariza and Griffin had been ejected with just over a minute left in the game.

Clippers center DeAndre Jordan as well as extra security guards kept the two parties separated.

Paul spent six years with the Clippers and — knowing the arena well — knew a back entryway that is not available to the media. Ariza, however, was the lead aggressor, per several reports including Wojnarowski’s. Similar reports say that Paul and Harden tried to calm down Ariza and Green and hence will not receive any punishment. Griffin also does not face any punishment.

Harden, who, like Rivers, did not play in the game due to injury, is expected to return Thursday for the now-shorthanded Rockets.
