This one day only event is a melodious complement to the fascinating views of Verde Canyon. In the comfort of this classic train, passengers relax while seven different musical acts each play a private concert in every car.
Devon Bridgewater's Nuance Jazz Trio entertains audiences with brassy big band melodies. His varied musical genres and big band performances have made him desirable for decades. He has accompanied countless well-known artists including Dizzy Gillespie, YoYo Ma, Nadine Jansen, The Temptations and Bobby Vinton.
Duo Vibrato is a stunning ensemble with an astonishing blend of gypsy jazz and classical chamber music with a Mediterranean flair. Tucson dwellers Joshua and Miray Rhoads first met in 2005, discovering one another on the small Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Josh & Miray now perform as husband and wife, captivating audiences with their charismatic presentation and impressive talent.
Scott McKenna and Nyke Van Wyck are an award-winning duo featuring a unique blend of acoustic guitar and violin. Singer/songwriter Scott has performed over 800 shows throughout the nation. At age five, New York native Nyke Van Wyck began playing classical violin. With a background in traditional Celtic, rock, R&B and jazz, his abundance of infectious energy clearly reflects his passion for music and performance.
Rosemary Chavez, with Music in Motion, was a featured vocalist at the 12th Annual Prescott Jazz Festival. Her musical style ranges from swing and big band to jazz, dreamy ballads, soft rock and soulful R&B. Classically-trained on violin, Allen Ames has been playing guitar since high school, with new and ever-expanding guitar styles. At 16 Bryan Sinclair recorded an album for the BBC with the famous Irish folk trio, The Bachelors.
Ken and Lyn Mikell are local musical storytellers from Jerome, Arizona. From Old West trail songs to the golden era of radio and the silver screen cowboy, Ken and Lyn illuminate the music and poetry that capture the West. They have been making music together for over thirty years. Ken is known as the ghostly voice at the Jerome Museum.
Hans Olson has been touring the world as a full-time performing musician since 1972, but he is well known along the highways of Arizona as an amazing solo act that can rock any nightclub all night long. Hans is comfortable singing music ranging from mellow folk ballads to growling boogie blues.
The Senators, a new face on the Arizona music scene, are already receiving national attention. Rooted in years of collaborative songwriting between brothers Jesse and Rooster Teer, the band came together in the summer of 2012. The Senators have fashioned a sound that harkens back to early folk, Americana and back-beat country while maintaining a spirited and relevant edge.
