Rihanna's Thigh High Boots Could Double as Pants
Rihanna gave her own spin on the celeb-favorite pantaboots trend yesterday.
The superstar was spotted out with A$AP Rocky in NYC last night, where she wore an outfit that requires a double take. For the casual look, the Fenty mogul paired a micromini denim skirt by R13 with an oversized white t-shirt featuring the artwork for rapper RZA's 2003 album Birth of a Prince. The standout element of the look was a pair of suede boots from Y/Project's latest menswear collection, with a slouchy fit that rose up to the skirt's distressed hem and blurred the lines between footwear and trousers.
She accessorized the eye-catching look with a green snakeskin-print shoulder bag and an array of jewelry, including large silver hoops, thin layered necklaces, and several bracelets and rings. For her beauty look, the star wore her extra-long hairstyle half-up, and sported a red lip.
The Fenty mogul and the "Sicko Mode" rapper have resumed their NYC date nights after welcoming their first child last May, with their date night street style also returning in full force. Last weekend, they stepped out in their version of a couple look, wearing coordinating baggy jeans.
Rihanna styled her denim with a unique blue-and-white pinstriped button-up with large fringe details at the end, while Rocky layered a colorful long-sleeve shirt with a black fest and similarly bright accessories.
The new parents also enjoyed a dinner out on Thursday night, where they were spotted outside the Italian eatery Emilio's Ballato. The "Work" singer's sleek look was comprised of a classic little black dress and an oversized white button-up, which featured silver detailing and a standout accessory: silver cuff links with uppercase R's.
The couple have kept their public appearances low-key since welcoming their baby boy, with a source telling Entertainment Tonight that Rihanna has taken a break from work to settle down as a mom.
"She's one of the hardest working people out there and she can definitely have it all," the insider told the outlet, adding that the multi-hyphenate will "be a hands-on mom and have an impressive career."
