BEIJING (AP) _ RISE Education Cayman Ltd. (REDU) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $3.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Beijing-based company said it had net income of 5 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 14 cents per share.
The provider of after-school English and tutoring services posted revenue of $53.5 million in the period.
For the current quarter ending in October, RISE Education said it expects revenue in the range of $60.1 million to $61.1 million.
RISE Education shares have increased almost 1% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $8.01, a decline of 28% in the last 12 months.
