CAMP HILL, Pa. (AP) -- Rite Aid Corp. (RAD) on Thursday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $359.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Camp Hill, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 34 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 1 cent per share.

The drugstore chain posted revenue of $5.42 billion in the period.

Rite Aid expects full-year results to range from a loss of 3 cents per share to earnings of 1 cent per share, with revenue in the range of $21.7 billion to $22.1 billion.

The company's shares closed at $1.28. A year ago, they were trading at $2.29.
