WIXOM, Mich. (AP) _ Rockwell Medical Inc. (RMTI) on Thursday reported a loss of $8.7 million in its first quarter.
The Wixom, Michigan-based company said it had a loss of 15 cents per share.
The maker of products used in the treatment of kidney disease and anemia posted revenue of $15.6 million in the period.
Rockwell Medical shares have more than doubled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $5.57, a decrease of 2.5% in the last 12 months.
