WIXOM, Mich. (AP) _ Rockwell Medical Inc. (RMTI) on Thursday reported a loss of $10.3 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Wixom, Michigan-based company said it had a loss of 18 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 16 cents per share.
The maker of products used in the treatment of kidney disease and anemia posted revenue of $14.8 million in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $16.4 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $2.32. A year ago, they were trading at $4.88.
