When Piers Morgan made a joke about Daniel Craig wearing a papoose, with a baby in it, we doubt he had any idea of the worldwide debate that it would become.

Joining the fray now is Ross Kemp, who popped on a papoose on today's Good Morning Britain (October 17).

The former EastEnders star said: "If I fall over now I have two hands to protect the child. If I have to carry the shopping, I can carry the bag in one hand, walk the dog or open the car door.

"It's really good for babies. It's good for their digestive system... it's bonding with my baby. It makes you more of a man because it shows you care."

Susanna added: "I think they set women's ovaries in motion. There is nothing sexier than James Bond wearing one.

"I think you've won the argument."

For anyone not following papoose-gate, Piers is facing the wrath of a thousand dads, including Captain America's Chris Evans.

"You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child," Chris tweeted. "Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside."

It was also claimed yesterday that Piers' pre-GMB demands include having his seat warmed by a lackey, his pants iron-pressed, and a large mug of "perfect tan brown" Yorkshire Gold tea stirred 23 times anti-clockwise...

OK, the list comes from Kate Garraway and she is, of course, joking – as part of her 24-hour job challenge (including a stint as guest Sun Showbiz Editor) in a bid to raise money for charity.
