What do royals give as birthday gifts? Prince George asked for the cutest present for his 6th birthday

One of the littlest royals just got a bit bigger: Prince George turns six years old on Monday, July 22.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's oldest child is celebrating the big day on a family vacation on a private island in the Caribbean, and he had just two adorable items on his wish list.

"He loves nature and building things," Us Weekly reports, citing a royal insider who said George "has asked for a pair of binoculars for birdwatching and an electric kids’ car, which many of his school friends have."

Upon returning from their beach trip, Prince George will celebrate his birthday with school friends at a Kensington Palace party. He "loves magic," so his parents hired a magician, and caterers will make his favorite foods — which is a big deal for George, who usually isn't allowed to have super-sweet snacks.

"Kate’s asked them to make pizza, pasta and sliders," Us Weekly reports. "They wanted cupcakes, an ice cream machine and candy. She generally ensures that her kids stick to a healthy diet, but birthdays are different."

Ahead of the big day, the official Kensington Palace Instagram account shared three never-before-seen recent photos of the cutie. All three of the photos were taken by mom Kate.

Two of the three snaps show George playing outside while wearing a soccer jersey. Both photos were "taken recently in the garden of their home at Kensington Palace by The Duchess of Cambridge," the captions read. The third photograph "was taken on holiday with the family."
