Drag Race fanatics, your new TV obsession has arrived... only, you'll have to wait just a little bit longer before you can actually watch it in full.

RuPaul's new Netflix series AJ and the Queen has unveiled its first-look teaser, while also confirming that it will land on the streaming service on Friday, January 10.

Created by the reality TV icon and Sex and the City scribe Michael Patrick King, AJ and the Queen will see RuPaul star as Ruby Red, a larger-than-life, down-on-her-luck drag queen who sets off on a road trip across the US to visit every club she can find.

During her journey, she discovers that a scrappy, young orphan named AJ (Izzy G) has stowed away for the ride.

As the duo form an unlikely bond, they vow to spread a message of love and acceptance far and wide – alongside Ruby Red performing killer musical numbers on whatever stage will have her, naturally.

Tia Carrere (General Hospital), Michael-Leon Wooly (Grace and Frankie), Katerina Tannenbaum (The Bold Type) and Josh Segarra (Arrow) also star.

Before RuPaul will be seen in AJ and the Queen, the singer-turned-TV personality will also appear in the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race UK this Thursday (November 21), as remaining contestants Baga Chipz, The Vivienne and Divina De Campo compete for the top prize.

AJ and the Queen will premiere on Netflix on January 10, 2020.
