Russians target Ukrainian forces with attack helicopters, lose artillery in retaliatory air strikes

“The crossing over the Inhulets River in the north of the Kherson Oblast was targeted with single and double strikes from Ka-52 attack helicopters,” the South Operational Command said.

“The area of ​​liberated Ivanyvka was targeted twice. There were no casualties.”

In retaliation, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out two air strikes on enemy strongholds in the area of Blahodatne, to the north-east of the city of Kherson, near the border between Mykolayiv and Kherson oblasts.

In the past day, the following were eliminated, according to Ukraine’s General Staff:

·       18 Russian soldiers;

·       2 Nona-S 1 self-propelled artillery and mortar installations;

·       1 anti-aircraft installation;

·       1 Msta-B howitzer;

·       1 unit of armored and automotive vehicles;

·       2 ammunition depots.

Russia launched missile strikes on Mykolaiv and other populated areas of the Mykolaiv Oblast on the morning of July 5. Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the attack.
