The Russians try to block Lysychansk and take control of Lysychansk-Bakhmut road - General Staff

The Russian occupiers are trying to block Lysychansk and take control of the Lysychansk-Bakhmut road.

Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, as part of training exercises, the military commissariats of Belarus are verifying the assigned structure and the possibility of mobilisation in certain regions.

On the Sivershchyna front, the Russian forces continue to provide enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border. The occupiers fired on civilian and military infrastructure in the areas around the settlements of Turia and Luhivka, Sumy Oblast. The aggressors also conducted an air strike on the settlement of Uhroidy.

On the Kharkiv front, the Russians fired on Kharkiv, Bazaliivka, Pryshyb, Shestakove, Ruska Lozova, Verkhnii Saltiv, Ivanivka and Zamulivka using tanks, mortars, tube and rocket artillery.

On the Sloviansk front, the Russian occupying forces are regrouping and holding previously occupied frontiers.

Attacks were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Dolyna, Bohorodychne, Mykilske, Hrushuvakha and Dovhenke. The occupiers also launched an airstrike near Husarivka.

On the Donetsk front, the aggressors, with the support of artillery, are trying to block Lysychansk and take control of the section of the Lysychansk-Bakhmut road.

The occupiers fired from civil and military infrastructures in the areas of Lysychansk, Verkhnokamianka and Siversk and conducted an air strike near the ​​Lysychansk Oil Refinery.

Sabotage and reconnaissance groups were active in the area of the settlement of Verkhnokamianka to support the offensive. 

Ukrainian soldiers reportedly found them and neutralised them. The remnants of the occupiers' sabotage and reconnaissance groups withdrew.

On the Kramatorsk front, the invaders did not engage in active hostilities, but fired artillery at the Tetianivka area.

On the Bakhmut front, the Russian occupying forces fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops with artillery of various calibres near Klynove, Rozdolivka, Vyimka and Ivano-Darivka. The Russians carried out an air strike near the village of Vidrodzhennia.

The occupiers tried to improve the tactical situation in the area of ​​Spirne by conducting offensive actions, but were unsuccessful and withdrew. The Ukrainian soldiers neutralised the invaders' sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Berestove.

In the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia areas, the aggressors fired on Ukrainian defenders with mortars, tube and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Vesele, Pavlivka, Bilohiria, Inzhenerne, Olhivske, Preobrazhenka and Huliaipilske.

In addition, the Russian occupiers launched air strikes on civilian infrastructure near Orikhiv and Shcherbaky.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, the invaders fired from civilian and military infrastructures with tube and rocket artillery, and regrouped their troops.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, the occupiers are collecting the personal information of local residents, mandating the issue of passports and prohibiting residents from entering territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The General Staff also notes that some units of the Russian Armed Forces which were withdrawn from Ukraine to regain combat capability are not able to replenish their units in time, due to the reluctance of personnel to take part in the war against Ukraine.

Personnel who refuse to take part in the war are fired, and there are attempts to prosecute such people.
