The Deadpool actor revealed to People at the premiere of his new Netflix movie 6 Underground, that the ultra popular baking competition The Great British Bake Off is a favorite of him and wife Blake Lively and it’s their preferred show to watch when winding down at the end of the day.
“We live in a world that’s pretty divisive right now and there’s a lot going on. And I like that show just because it’s a nice thing to watch at night,” Ryan told People. “Everybody on the show is nice to each other, which I find refreshing. It’s not really about anything that’s going to remind you of chaos.”
The Great British Bake off—which has become a binge watching fan favorite since the BBC series episodes came to Netflix—is known for it’s adorable, feel good take on the reality competition show. The show brings together a group of amateur (but still impressive) bakers who compete and partake in different challenges for a panel of judges to become the ultimate baker by the end—it’s cream puffs, tarts and layered cakes galore.
Considering Reynolds is the star of the second-highest grossing R-rated film of all time, Baking Show not the first pick we’d assume from the Deadpool star—but we’ve also grown to expect the unexpected with the hilarious A-list actor.
