CHICAGO (AP) _ Ryerson Holding Corp. (RYI) on Wednesday reported first-quarter net income of $29.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Chicago-based company said it had net income of 78 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 79 cents per share.
The metal products distributor and processor posted revenue of $1.23 billion in the period.
Ryerson shares have climbed 41% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $8.94, a decrease of almost 9% in the last 12 months.
