Sacha Baron Cohen tricks Joe Arpaio into making startling admissions

On the latest episode of Who Is America?, Sacha Baron Cohen added former sheriff Joe Arpaio to the list of notable guests he’s duped. Cohen has already befuddled Bernie Sanders, got former Vice President Dick Cheney to sign a waterboard kit that Cohen then offered for sale on eBay, and used a “pedophile detector” on Roy Moore. Under the guise of being an un-boxer on YouTube, the provocateur had Arpaio arguing gun control with a tiny toy doughnut.

After Cohen said that the doughnut is anti-gun, Arpaio spoke directly to the pastry, saying, “Bad guys are going to get their guns. And it’s gonna kill you. I’m hoping that somebody else in there has a gun and will shoot that person before he shoots you.”

Cohen and Arpaio then talked jobs. More specifically, jobs that require the use of hands. Anybody familiar with Cohen’s brand of humor knows where this led — and naturally Cohen didn’t stop there. He asked Arpaio if he’d accept a different kind of job from Donald Trump if he were to offer. Arpaio answered in the affirmative.

Who Is America? airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
