MONACO (AP) _ Safe Bulkers Inc. (SB) on Monday reported a first-quarter loss of $9.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The company said it had a loss of 12 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 13 cents per share.
The shipping company posted revenue of $45.7 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $32.5 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit $1.40. A year ago, they were trading at $1.42.
