Sands, MGM rise on reports

Shares of Las Vegas Sands (LVS), MGM Resorts Int'l (MGM) and Wynn Resorts (WYNN) popped as reports continued to affirm rising gambling revenue in the U.S. and China. Sterne Agee in a report Tue. said gaming revenue in Macau, China's special casino gambling district, jumped 27% in the 1st 10 days of Dec., higher than expected. And Nevada's gaming commission said last Fri. that revenue for Las Vegas casinos grew 2.8% to $859.9 million in Oct. Sands shares rose 1.8% to 45.34, MGM rose 3.6% to 11.32 and Wynn rose 3.3% to 113.46.
