Sanofi to meet French presidential officials next week to clear up vaccine stir - Elysee
PARIS, May 14 (Reuters) - Sanofi officials will attend a high-level meeting at the Elysee palace next week after comments by the French drugmaker that vaccines produced in the United States could go to U.S. patients first upset President Emmanuel Macron, an Elysee official said on Thursday.
"These comments have upset all those who work on it, starting with the president," a French Presidency official said.
The same official said he was not aware of any direct phone call to Sanofi chief executive Paul Hudson, adding: "Next week there will be a meeting at the Elysee to try to go beyond that and work together."
It was not immediately clear who would attend that meeting.
