Would you like to be neighbors with Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick? The townhouse next door to the couple’s two adjoining townhouses in New York City's West Village recently hit the market for a whopping $28.6 million—with the possibility of being converted into a mansion of its own. The building, which houses 12 apartment units, can be converted into a single-family home, offering the new owners “a chance to create the townhouse of their dreams,” according to the listing.
The townhouse sits on a 112-foot lot, and is linked to “one of the largest” gardens in the neighborhood, the listing says. It also features high ceilings throughout, some measuring up to 13 feet. Other boldface names who call the expensive block home include Liv Tyler and former Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure, who grabbed the townhouse on the other side of the Parker-Brodericks’ in 2017 for $27.4 million.
Parker and Broderick bought their two townhouses on the block for a combined total of $35 million in February 2016, with aims to combine them into one residence measuring a grand total of 13,900 square feet. Once the two abodes are combined, the home will feature a 50-foot-wide brick façade, nine bedrooms, five bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, and even a 2,100-square-foot landscaped garden out back. There will also be an elevator for easy access to each floor.
