ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) _ Schweitzer-Mauduit International Inc. (SWM) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $7.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Alpharetta, Georgia-based company said it had profit of 23 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, were 90 cents per share.
The paper and reconstituted tobacco company posted revenue of $248.7 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $94.5 million, or $3.06 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.04 billion.
Schweitzer-Mauduit expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.40 to $3.60 per share.
Schweitzer-Mauduit shares have increased 39 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 16 percent in the last 12 months.
