LAS VEGAS (AP) _ SciPlay Corp. (SCPL) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of $6.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Las Vegas-based company said it had profit of 27 cents.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 26 cents per share.
The digital games developer posted revenue of $165.6 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $135.1 million.
SciPlay shares have climbed 21% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $14.84, a climb of 40% in the last 12 months.
