This site will offer videos of all Scripps Networks channels, namely, HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country. ulive will also offer over 70 new original video series from Scripps Networks' talent and social media stars and bloggers.
Scripps Networks is a pure-play lifestyle cable network consisting of six channels. All the cable channels have loyal audiences, who also view Scripps Networks’ content in several non-TV platforms. This helps the company to explore the non-TV verticals, such as magazines (print media) and websites (Internet). ulive will enable viewers to watch and share the best videos across lifestyle segments, such as food, home, travel, parenting and wellness.
During the second quarter of 2013, Scripps Networks started a major content distribution technique. In synergy with the cable TV industry’s latest technology of TVEverywhere, the company is making its content available for this platform. Scripps Networks is rolling out a series of website and mobile applications through which subscribers can view the company’s channels using their mobile devices. Currently, around 65 million authenticated viewers can access Scripps Networks’ programs through different media platforms.
