Jaci Finneman, Founder of Hello World, is announcing the launch of the second volume of her book, No Problem Parenting™; Resources and stories that create confidence and connection.
The second book consists of 20 chapters, which are a compilation of stories from guest speakers that Jaci has had on her podcast as well as stories from people who have overcome struggles as parents. The authors provide tips, tools and resources that will support parents in becoming the confident leaders their kids crave them to be.
One such expert featured in the book is Dr. JJ Kelly Psy.D, who shares how parents, teens, and young adults can improve their emotional intelligence with mindfulness exercises and by learning the difference between thoughts and feelings. Other chapters include subjects such as no more angry dads, healthy parent child conversations, and co-parenting after divorce.
The authors want parents to take away key lessons from the book, including how to advocate for their children, build self confidence, and see their children as individuals rather than simply a reflection of themselves.
Jaci is also working on the release of her solo book in which she details her life’s journey working with families and children who have had serious mental health diagnosis.
“How do you parent with confidence when problems trigger uncertainty and fear? Insecure parents hover over, give in, and feel sorry for their children,” says Finneman. “I designed my books to show parents how it is possible to be the expert of their child while accessing outside support from niched experts around the globe who understand the vital role of parents in their child’s lives. My books inspire parents, provide education and a new perspective that will have parents feeling confident in areas of parenting where they otherwise felt insecure.”
Jaci has no intention of stopping the series here as there are more voices in need of a platform allowing them to share their message. She is in contact with more professionals and parents who are eager to be a part of the No-Problem Parenting™ journey and plans for the third edition are underway.
Many parents ask Finneman, “Why isn’t my parenting working”? She suggests that the answer is often one of three things:
1) You’re being too nice.
2) You’re being too mean.
3) You’re trying to solve a problem that you’re not skilled at and attempting to go it alone.
“I think a lot of the time when parents are struggling they can feel embarrassed or ashamed to reach out for help,” says Jaci. “With the books, I want parents to know that there is a world of people out there who have faced many of the same obstacles they are going through, there is always a way to overcome those obstacles no matter how hard it may seem and you don't have to navigate your parenting journey alone.”
