In an attempt to protect product authenticity and brand integrity, Avery Dennison Corporation (AVY) has introduced the Select Solutions Security portfolio. The portfolio features a variety of label materials to make consumers aware of tampering and counterfeiting.
Avery’s Security materials utilize elements such as two-dimensional holograms and in-label watermarks and threads. These unique features are designed to meet customers’ needs and challenges. The features will also assure them about the quality of the product. However, if the elements are broken or missing, customers will become alert on fake goods.
The Security portfolio comprises customizable ultra-violet and infra-red print options, enhanced thermal transfer graphic solutions and chemical-resistant coating for liquid products. In addition, the portfolio features low minimum order quantities and same day price quotations. It will also ensure lesser delivery time of four-day shipping and address specific customers’ needs of unique application labeling.
The introduction of this portfolio is in sync with the company’s commitment to introduce a full series of Select Solutions portfolios. The portfolio will also help in delivering healthy organic growth to Avery’s Pressure Sensitive Materials segment.
Avery’s first Select Solutions portfolio of pressure sensitive materials is a collection of Holographic label materials ideal for commemorative products and seasonal packaging. These advanced labeling materials utilize a multi-layered coating to refract light and create a variety of optical effects comprising iridescent and prismatic visuals.
Avery continues to expand in both its core segments – Pressure-Sensitive Materials and Retail Branding and Information Solutions. Additionally, the divestiture of the underperforming Office and Consumer Products unit will help Avery to focus on these core segments and increase its growth profile.
Pasadena, Calif.-based Avery Dennison manufactures pressure-sensitive materials and tickets, tags, labels and other converted products. Avery has over 200 manufacturing and distribution facilities across more than 60 countries.
Avery, which operates in the office supply, labeling and packaging industry along with CompX International Inc. (CIX), A.T. Cross Company (ATX) and United Stationers Inc. (USTR), currently holds a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).
